ION Systems Support

ION offer a number of different support options, depending on the requirements of the customer. Our support packages fall into one of 3 main categories:
Monthly support contract
The monthly support contract option is our most popular support option. The customer pays a regular amount every month (depending on the amount of equipment covered and the location). Payment is made one month in advance, and the contract is a rolling 3 month arrangement. This contract type is popular due to the following benefits:
- The fixed fee allows for accurate I.T budgeting. Support costs remain constant regardless of the number of calls made
- There is no limit on the phone support time each month (other companies often impose a limit)
- You receive a full SLA (Service Level Agreement) which includes guarantees of response times
- There is no extra charge for an on-site visit
- Remote monitoring of your networked systems
- You receive a full Audit of your I.T systems
- You receive regular updates and recommendations from our consultancy team to ensure that you get the best out of existing and new technology
Pre-Paid Support Contract
The vouchered support contract consists of a number of blocks of pre-paid engineering time. Customers using a pre-paid contract buy a certain number of engineering hours which are used when they raise support calls. The more hours which customers purchase, the cheaper they become. Each call uses a minimum of 10 minutes. This type of contract has a number of features:
- No fixed monthly fee - customers are charged for the amount of calls which they make
- No expiry on the vouchers. Unlike other support companies, you can use our vouchers whenever you wish, regardless of when they were purchased
- You receive a full SLA (Service Level Agreement) which includes guarantees of response times similar to the monthly support contract
- There is a minimum callout charge of 30 minutes
Mixed Contract
A Mixed Contract is a combination of the two types listed above. Customers with a mixed contract cover their essential systems with the monthly contract, and use vouchers for the parts of their I.T systems which are considered less important. This offers the following benefits:
- A best of both world's solution
- Key systems are covered by the contract without the expense of covering the less vital systems every month
- Can reduce support costs if few calls are made regarding the vouchered systems
No Contract
Some customers prefer not to have a formal contract, but to retain ION's services on a pay-per-call basis. This is usually used where customers feel that they will make very few calls and do not want to commit payment up front. In these cases, ION do charge a minimum callout for on-site visits of 60 minutes, and charge each call at a minimum of 30 minutes.
